The Student Ambassador Program gives students the opportunity to represent the Mayor’s Fitness Council by promoting healthy living at their campus and in their communities. The students participate in leadership trainings throughout the year and implement a service project of their choice in their school or community, with the help of a campus mentor.
Now in its fifth year, the past Student Ambassador cohorts have implemented a wide range of projects that encourage active living and healthy eating. 5th-12th grade students are encouraged to apply to be a part of this awesome program.
The Student Ambassador Program is now reaching 50 public and private schools, representing 13 Bexar County Independent School Districts and private and charter schools.
We are currently seeking student applicants for the 2017-2018 school year. Help us spread the word and recruit passionate 5th-12th graders who will help make positive changes and improve health outcomes in San Antonio!
